LARRY JUDD

Founder | Higher Education Counselor

Larry’s passion for the world of higher education is both engaging and infectious as he works with his clients and their families through their college selection journey. Using a detailed selection process to determine the “right” school for each student-athlete, Larry looks at multiple factors that promote a highly successful, individualized college experience. Along the way, he shares critical tips with students and parents on how to work effectively with a school’s admissions staff, choose the right major, and maximize the odds of obtaining the best balance of athletics and academics.

Larry gets involved with his mind and his heart as he mentors, coaches, challenges, and encourages each student to take ownership of their educational decisions while guiding them to discover and grow as an individual. Larry received his undergraduate degree at the University of Maine, Farmington, and a Master’s in Sports Sciences (M.S.S.) from the US Sports Academy in Alabama. After a successful high school coaching career, Larry led Division 3 and NAIA men’s basketball teams at the collegiate level. His college career included two conference Coach of the Year Awards, a Sportsmanship Award, a Conference Tournament Championship, a Sweet 16 visit at the DIII National Tournament, four Regional Final Four appearances, and one NAIA regional Final Four. He also had the #1 ranked NAIA recruiting class, set school records for most wins in a season, and was highlighted in Coach magazine.

Ultimately, more than anything else, Larry understands the complex mix of challenging emotional and financial dynamics that students and their families must navigate through when it comes time for important college planning decisions As a college and university recruiter for 10 years, he has personally visited more than 250 campuses in 30 states, gaining a comprehensive, multi-dimensional feel for each school environment and the specific types of students who thrive in them. He looks forward to helping you and your child build a rock-solid “game plan” for success!
